The goal of every company's marketing efforts is to find customers and interact with them in order to build brand loyalty and generate sales. One of the most effective and cost-efficient ways to do this in today's multi-channel environment is content marketing. Content marketing should always be considered when creating a marketing strategy.

The value of a content marketing concept
Unlike paid advertising, content marketing offers the audience something valuable, which is extremely important for building trust with every current or potential customer.
Content marketing is simply a digital marketing strategy in which companies consistently create honest, transparent, and educational content for their customers. Typically, the goal is to increase organic website traffic, generate more qualified leads, and (ultimately) enable the sales team to close more deals faster by publishing and promoting content.
So why don't all companies primarily use content marketing? Well, the most difficult thing about content marketing is that it takes time. However, this negative factor is offset by the numerous advantages, at least in the long term.

About the effectiveness of content marketing
So why is content marketing so effective? Because good content generates excellent interaction, leads, and expands the customer base much more sustainably than paid advertising measures. The following facts underscore the power of a functioning content marketing concept:
- Content marketing generates three times more leads than paid search for every dollar spent.
- Creating content is the most effective way to achieve excellent SEO optimization for your own website.
- 80% of people prefer to draw conclusions about a company based on articles and publications rather than advertising.
- 82% of consumers are more loyal to a company after reading relevant content from that company.

Tips for content marketing with a concept
As valuable as good content marketing may be, it is unfortunately only effective if companies know how to use it properly. The following tips can help you get the most out of your content marketing:
- Use a range of different media
Even though the era of written press releases is not yet over, there are now many different ways for companies to share content with the public in the modern age. In addition to writing content, companies can also reach their audience through social media marketing, video content, and graphics. A broader range of media can help attract more attention online.
- Optimize content mindfully
To make your content stand out in a world where everyone uses blogs and articles, your company needs to ensure that you optimize everything you produce. This means incorporating SEO strategies into your campaigns to improve your ranking on search engines such as Google, as well as adding features that make your content easy to consume or share. For example, a "Share on Facebook" button at the end of an article could improve your brand's reach.
- Demonstrate competence and knowledge
When people search for content online, they often want to learn something. A good way for you to make your business stand out through content is to present your company as a thought leader in a specific niche. Question-and-answer sessions or in-depth industry articles can help a company appear more credible and authoritative.
- Make a plan and stick to it
Good content marketing requires a plan. Your content can only be successful if it is selected in a structured manner and published in a well-thought-out way.

Tips for content production with a concept
These four tips provide a good foundation, but once you have laid the groundwork, it's time to produce first-class content. Your content must be better than your competitors' content; only then will you have a chance of winning over their customers.
However, since content production is also expensive, you should get the maximum reach out of every single post. That's why you should not only invest in the right content creation for your company, but also multiply the content you create by converting it into different formats or looking at it from multiple angles. For example, you could interview different members of your company on a specific topic or convert a current article into a video or infographic. To help you succeed in this, I have compiled six more points that will maximize the value of your content:
- First and foremost, set a direction. Before you start writing content, you need to understand your goals.
- Know your customers. Various tools can often reveal a lot about consumers, such as their behavior on the website, which channel they came from, which areas of the website they viewed, what purchases they made, how they responded to the email newsletter, and much more.
- Choose the right channel for your business. Ten years ago, there were only 10 channels, now there are 100, but not all of them are ideal for your business.
- Create useful, clickable, and shareable content. To do this, you need to know your customers; only then can you create content that people will enjoy reading and sharing. Use your content to solve your customers' problems, and you'll be inundated with engagement.
- Spend more time on publishing. Most content creators spend 80% of their time creating content and 20% publishing and promoting it. But it should be the other way around.
- Measure and monetize continuously. You need to understand how your investment pays off in monetary terms.

Risks of a content marketing concept?
To be honest, a content marketing concept does not involve many risks if you follow all of my tips. However, there are real risks if you pursue a coherent concept, and the biggest of these is opportunity costs.
Without content marketing concepts, you miss out on traffic, leads, and reputation benefits. Your company may be profitable without a content marketing strategy, but how much better could your profits be if you had one?
In addition, your competitors are either already pursuing their own content strategies (and if not, it's only a matter of time); how long will it take before their momentum takes effect and your market share shrinks due to inaction?
Therefore, don't forget that good content marketing campaigns increase dramatically in value over time as they reinforce each other. So the longer you wait, the more potential growth you will sacrifice and the tougher the competition you will ultimately face.
